Professional Training delivers essential skills training for lawyers, by lawyers. We understand the unique challenges faced by lawyers and business services professionals because we have been there. We offer in-house instructor-led training in small cohorts, designed to be engaging, impactful and time-efficient, recognising the need to minimise time away from fee earning and busy work schedules. Our solutions are either ‘off-the-shelf’ materials specific for a legal audience customised to align with our clients’ messaging, strategy and values, or bespoke solutions designed by their content designers, all with a legal background.
Professional Training understand that while technical legal knowledge forms the foundation of legal practice, it is the essential skills that often differentiate successful employees and firms in the following areas:
Enhancing client relationships
Improving team collaboration
Enhancing negotiation and persuasion
Managing stress and enhancing wellbeing
Adapting to change
Building leadership capabilities
Enhancing professional reputation
Increasing client retention and referral
Professional Training also delivers regular webinars for our PT Community on subjects relevant to those responsible for training within the firm.
Launched in 2025, Professional Training’s annual conference brings together leaders in law to explore key issues shaping the industry. The 2025 event focused on talent retention, while the 2026 conference will examine the dynamics of building high performing teams. We’re delighted to welcome leading voices from law, business and elite sport — all with first-hand experience of what it takes to build and sustain high performing teams. From exploring the mindset and resilience of world-class athletes to uncovering proven strategies from successful firms, they will share insights that translate directly into the challenges facing today’s legal professionals.
